Here's how I look at it Wendy: If you do not bring a fish and get feedback from the shifus, how are you going to get feedback on how you can improve your lines? Who knows, you may teach the shifus a thing or two with your fish! This can happen because when it comes to betta breeding, no one can really claim to know-it-all or to have seen-it all!

So bring your fish and show us lah!

Just to add more info on the venue:

Ericsson Pet Farm
18 Pasir Ris Farmway 2

It is at the new location, just at the T junction as you enter into the pasir ris farm area. The clubhouse is on the right of the entrance. Beautiful place, just built.....and we have the honour of being one of the first to use the place...

Transport: There is now a free bus shuttle service on weekends from Tampines MRT to L35 in Pasir Ris. This is just a few door away from Ericsson. Runs from around midday to 7.30 pm so it would alleviate some of your transportation concerns!

congratulations to the committee for a successful betta compare cum bbq.
the camaraderie was most encouraging. learnt some very useful tips from the betta gurus.
nice venue too. only regretted the liquid stuff on the wall shelf behind the counter was not part of the bbq.

Yeah, really wished that I could stay longer but had other commitments. Also a little pai seh because my fish cannot compare to the beauties on show at the compare. It is so comfortable (like the Koi pond) and there was great company and a very good exchange. The Special guests were from channel newsasis, who were there to film part of a programme highlighting bettas in Singapore. (So when are we on TV?) But really enjoyed myself for the time I was there. Looking forward to the next betta compare.

Really enjoyed the event ... although the rain was heavy ... but still the turn out was good.
