This is very first time i seen a Butterfly HM plakat leh, not the fancy marble type but the irids type of butterfly. maybe i sua koo but honestly first time i see and even happier to say i got a tankful of them haha.

full respect to the breeder who did this spawn, though i must say this result was unexpectedly but its most pleasant surprise.

Butterfly plakats looks realy nice. The most I like on bettas are the multicolor colorvariations. Here is pic from one of Rajiv and my butterfly plakat.

Hello Samuel,

I tried to make the show shorttail hm plakat a little popular since 3 years in Europe. Nowadays they are accepted in Germany and in Swiss betta shows. In France there was a big discussion about this typ of plakat last year and there was no chance for the show halfmoon plakat last year. This year I had no time to be there, but I will call Marc Maurin the president of the IBSC (world oldest Hm betta club) what the situation is at the moment. They hold on to the old plakat typs, for sure for fighting they are better, but at shows we breed for the beauty of the fishes. The Hm shorttail plakat have along history in France maybe since 10-15years, so I can't understand why they hold on for the old typ, we will see what the future brings. I'm shure at the end the Hm shortail plakat will find his place at the most shows in the future. I will hold on this.

about Halfmoon Shorttail ( Plakat HM ) , that is right ...it is popular now in Europe also in Indonesia..i think also in State...at last Global Halfmoon Contest they have also Class for Shorttail HM ..since this Year ..every Betta Contest in Indonesia they have also special classes for Halfmoon Shorttail...in Europe since GermanBettaDivision last November and also Swiss Betta Contest last May 2003...this is my HM Shortail, he won 1
