Hi guys,
As the topic suggests, how young do your breed your bettas? Any drawbacks besides the size of spawn and inexperience of the pair?
Cheers,
Kenny

3 months ... similar drawbacks as Foo Hong.
And seems like the males are normally not as capable of handling a female.
4 months seems a better age.

I did spawning them about 8 weeks old provided they obtained a certain size. However, fries very tiny.

Just try to spawn your selected pair with at least 1" in body length. Best to be 1.2" (3cm) and above. Too small will hv some problem like both FH and Sam experience. Larger pairs spawn sure easier to take care. Problem is that if the pair are young and has not even shown the full potential, and you spawn it, chances that you will get lousy fries.
So either you want quantity or quality. I go for quality.
