!Luo Hans!

Hi everybody,

Ive got 2 luo hans which is about 8cm. Although they r extremely small, they r both 8-9months old but cannot grow...lol. :D
Both r in d same tank with a divider. Recently, i found out tat one side of d divider had some egg like stuff stick on it.:(

Anyway i thought tat it would be ridiculous to presume tat d yellow stuff r eggs, coz d luo han is so small, its alone and luo hans dun lay eggs rite.....[8D]

Any idea what those stuffs r? it has been there for 3days already.[?]

actually, the females do lay eggs even at that size n smaller.

Got one stupid LH show around new year...lol. the fish is so ugly, dont know why all those chi-nah people go n see this creature.

actually some lh are quite nice. but when i look at the competition recently, the standard dropped drastically. The one organised by Qianhu still the best so far. Saw the photos of the fishes at Malaysia competition also quite high standard.

Even I dun like this fish, but I think if there will be some breeders that can refine the lines and bring out better quality fish like what betta or other types of fish, there are still future lah.

just went to Marina Sq last night. looks like the Archery shop has been converted into a LH display centre instead. Maybe using LH as a "Figure 11 moving target" is more exciting.

That Marina sq one used to be the recent competition one lor. The only priced tagged at 9888 is a real lousy fish and one inside priced around 8000++ is bad bad sample. The competition fishes are all out liao and the place is rented by Rainbow lor. Got some breeders right inside tending to their spawns. Talk to a few of them and you will find out more stories.

Heard a JOOOKKKKEEEE at a LFS. one 'expert' telling 'window shoppers'.
WS=how to get the LH to have a good looking kock-head?
Expert=put a transparent separator and put 2 males in each compartment. add one more non see thru sheet and remove occasionally to 'flare' them like bettas. They will be so fierce n will knock agast the hard surface when trying to get each other. the swollen effect will cos the head to 'grow'.

Sad to hear that ... I also have one very nice kok kok one that lost his sense of balance after my father accidentally hit his from his side during water change.

It is actually quite strange that such a large fish is so vulnerable to knocks.
