Derrick is a very established betta breeder in Singapore with lots of experience
in betta breeding to share.

With his extensive contacts with the betta counterparts in Thailand and Indonesia, I
am sure that he will have many fishes that are of exceptional qualities for viewing.

chris , thanks , yes ,its off eunos link /bedok reservoir road. just behind eunos mansion.turn left into Foo kin Lin road than go straight till a "y" junction,don,t turn,Don,t turn left(cos the sign said teo kim eng rd ,to left) but both is teo kim eng rd . straight in till the end . my house is the one with white wall and black(squar) colour gate.

We have 1 week more to BCS Feburary event ...

We will be visiting Derrick Kuah's (Uncle Derrick) place for a day of betta fun.

Just some back ground information about Derrick ... He is a very established betta breeder in Singapore with lots of experience in betta breeding to share. He has got very extensive contacts with the betta counterparts in Thailand, Indonesia and Japan. Which translates to multiple sources of good fishes. Thus I am sure that he will have many fishes that are of exceptional qualities for viewing.

At 2:30pm ... we will probably invite Derrick to give us a informal introduction to his amazing collection of bettas which will include famous lines from Totoro, TKLee, Sai Cho etc. He will also be showing us the thousands of fries that descended from such good lines.

So mark your calendar ... I am sure it will be a day of good betta fun.

(PS: BCS Members are encouraged to bring down their precious fishes for all to view and admire.)

(PS: As for those that are interested in joinning us as a new member, you can also drop by for the event and sign up with the club at the venue itself.)

I will have my rottweir tied under the tree guarding my fries. ha ..ha..ha. yes , i have quite a nos. of spawns but most still very small(2-4 weeks). i have two spawns, half tk lee(totoro)with my own male(12 weeks) and another full tk lee 8 weeks(jarred one .already shown like father,hm already,only 1/2 inch body size)and the rest still in the tank.lot of plakat(black),full melanos and marbled black.need sinfu to commend on them.They are all fertile type.have one spawn of delta, working on same principle(f4), got my black(some),hopefully ,these will be fertile like the"plakat".anyway ,see you guys.like me know how many coming early for lunch....might ask my wife to make "nonya meesiam". thanks and regards Derrick++

sam, paiseh ,paiseh , you have put a very big hat on my head.I have alot of bettas but quality,i don,t know till all sinfu tell me so. i m a greedy guy , want everything. i have ..red,yellow(problems with spawning),opaque and blue.still learning after nearly 2 years on hms.And also too lazy to record what i do. lost track of fishes sometime(can,t locate Tk Lee blue now. i know ,one died, the other don,t know where)but luckyly have some spawns from them.What i m doing ,is trying to cut corner by using better fishes but results still....??//.
as for plakat, well, i think,i m ok. i have a lot of black(marbled black ,melanos black,black marbled),black/white butterfly,opaque,yellow marbled,mahachia ,copper/gold imbellis and now got a "New cross "out of imbellis....imbellis mask..green colour with pearl all over body with masks but they are only phenos type now can,t confirm genos yet.whole spawn same colour and features(12 weeks old i think)Edwin and simon took some late time(by the way , how the colour). yeah , i have some pineapple(still in tank) and red plakat, to be given away as gift for new members.
Kenho,i have lot of mahachia ,still in tank. If you are intertested ,let me know.

I have quite a nos. of spawns but still very young.the older fishes are from salamander red and dt red(5weeks). the st are about 3weeks(1-3 weeks)need to consult you on them but pls forgo the fee he he.
Lunch...1 pm, those come late ,got to wash plates and clear the stuff.

Derrick I ll be there with my tao huaqy container and net. dont worry, I ll pay for yr fish as this year my luck with black jack seems good so far...kekeke. I am keen to get a red female from Saichon's line....dont want his males.....small is OK. even 6/8 weeks will do. If ok me and myron will be taking queue numbers.

Derrick ... dun have to be humble lah ... you do have lots of good breeding stocks in hand and with some many spawns performed ... I am sure there will be many nice off-springs that you can find amongst them.

Yes, agreed with Samuel. Not forgetting, I believed there will be a number of ppl from BettaHan group joining us and signing up as BCS members on that day too. Seems like the starter pack of fish is a good attraction too.
