Hi members,
I start this thread with the intention to assist you to upload, edit and delete your photos in the new forum BCS photo album. I can onli try my best to show and explain as I'm rather poor in illustration and writing down the instructions, hope you guys don't mind.
Before that, I hope all members will start transfering their MSN Photo Gallery to this new BCS Photo Album in the forum as MSN will always have it's limitation like another password login, limited space given by MSN, and sometimes unable to link to the forum page here.
There will be no space or photo limitation for each members as long as photos downloaded are related to bettas or club. The photo album is also accessible or can be viewed by non-members too without logging in.
I will now start the illustration step by step using one thread each.

STEP 5
This step will show you how to upload your photos into your album.
Under the heading "Upload Files Into Photo Album", click on the Browse button to access your harddisk. Search and locate your picture or photos in your harddisk (usually drive C or D). Most photos or picture files end with .jpg or .gif. Try to limit your photo size to 400 x 300 pixels so that it will not take too long to upload and access and also will not take up too much server's space.
After selecting the picture or photo file to upload, type in the description of your photo.
Thereafter, select the Category that you wish to upload the photos to - Main Album or any other category that you may have created previously.
If you did not create any new category, you can juz upload it to the Main Album category and create a new category later. You can transfer photos from one category to another at a later stage.[8D]
So now you should be able to upload your photos into your album already. Let's take a break and I'll be back again.

This is a very important step!
In this page, you must select the Yes in the Photo Viewable to make your photo viewable by the other users so that the previous step will show Visible in the Status column.
You must also select Yes in the Display as Category Photo to make the No Photo Icon disappear from your Photo Album. Otherwise the first photo will show this No Photo Icon instead of your photo.
If you wish to Delete this photo instead of Editing, click on the Delete This File box.
Thereafter, click the Submit Query button below.
There you go!:D

STEP 8
If you wish to add in new category after you have uploaded your photos or you did not create new category earlier on. Repeat step 1 to step 4.
See attachment;
1. You may add new Category by typing in the new Category name in Add Category.
The next 6 lines below the Add Category is rather confusing without meddling sometimes with it. [:p]
2. If you wish to delete the photos in one category, tick The Delete This Category, and select which category you wish to delete. The next line will tied up in use with this (Photos will be moved to this category). In reality, the photos will not be deleted in that category but onli the category name deleted. The photos will be shifted to the next category that you select under the Photos will be moved to this category line. Select the category name that you wish to shift the photos to that category.
3. The next 2 lines will allowed you to transfer photos from one category to another without deleting the category name. Tick on this line Transfer Photos to Category and select the category name that you wish to transfer photos OUT OF IT. The next line Photos will be moved to this category, select the category name that you wish the photos to be MOVED TO.
4. The last 2 lines allowed you to rename your category and is rather straight forward. Tick on the line Rename This Category and select the category name that you wish to rename. Type in the new category name below this line or the last line.
That's all folks, hope it's not getting more confusing after this. If yes, then you must try on it and get more hands on to get used to it.

Chris, just to check with you if you are still using the Nikon CoolPix 775, under "Quality" & "Size" settings there are 3 choices each, which combination do i set so that the photo is small enough to fit the specifications you mentioned above?

Hi Ben,
For me, I will usually select the middle option for both quality and size. But I will still go to Photoshop or other photo editing software to resize it to 72dpi and size 400 x 300 pixel for internet upload. The original size and quality is for own storage purpose.
