Our acedemic requirement is so high...
but then let me rub some salt for those still studying...
When you come out and apply for job....foreign degrees seem to 'smell better'...kekekke

Singapore students are very good indeed. The best of the local graduates can hold their own academically against ivy league graduates. The only difference is perhaps the exposure to foreign culture.
Would be a great pity, and loss, if recruiters fail to recognise this.

I believe the students are good notwithstanding our coolie immigrant stock as it is often put. but i think the system has much rm for improvememtn. i speak for myself. for example, the bulk of subjects taught in some of our fourth yr courses are age old technologies that were developed 40-50 yrs ago eg petroleum refining !? sure, that's good just for running some of our jurong island facilities, but has little relevance outside that vicinity :P

Study what you can now and in the near future, one phrase sure to come out ... "return to teacher liao". hahaha.
Stress during studying is nothing compare to stress when people pay you to do work. Bank account stress.
I wish I can go back to study, I know I can't do that now. Social stress.
But I read my son story books, I know what I've learnt in school are outdated. I am stressed
When my son asked me why the bird fly, I know internet also cannot give me answer. That's stress.
When people arguing square root of 9 is no longer 3, the answer +3 and -3, man I am fried.
