Hi Guys,

Yes! our much talked about 2nd Singapore International Betta Comp at Aquarama07 is here !
This is also a IBC Sanctioned International Show.

This year, BCS has successfully negotiated for an increase of bettas entries space with CMP as compared with Aquarama05(approx 540 then). Closing date for bettas only is also extended to 16th April 07.
Nevertheless, I would advise all to sent in your entries as soon as you can.
The response is always good, they might have to reject entries once spaces are filled on a first come first served basis.

Yes, Pichet! this u remembered:D ! In Aquarama05 , to encourage members participation ,from BCS funds ,we gave out S$4 cash back per betta entry to BCS members.

We have budgeted to do likewise this year.The exact amount to be given per entry is yet to be confirm.. This can only be finalised after closing date.

This incentive from BCS funds can be fulfilled on 2 conditions ;
1. Participant is a current BCS member as at 16 April 2007
2. Participant is present to collect at BCS booth (No proxy)

As per normal, sent in your entries accompanied by full payment to CMP,we will arrange the rest.

Participants must abide by the following rules and regulations. Participants found violating any of the rules and regulations
will be disqualified.


1 Participants must submit full details for participation in the Competition.

2 In the event of overwhelming response, entries will be accepted on a selection process by the Organiser. Successful and
unsuccessful applicants will be informed within 3 weeks after the closing date.

3 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or re-categorise any category in the event of insufficient entries. In such cases,
participants will be notified accordingly.

4 Each entry will be provided with a tank, aeration and filter, except for entries in the Betta category (empty tank: 6a

Well, the show is finally over.

I would like to thank all our judges - Jodi-Lea Matheson,Jesda Attavichit, Joty Atmadjaja, Vincent Mah and Wong Wei Yeong - for doing a great job in the judging. In order to finish going through 497 fishes to pick an eventual GC, the judges started at 9.30 or so in the morning and did not finish till about 7.30 at night; and they only had a very short break for lunch!

Also a big thank you to all our helpers at the BCS booth, benching-in and benching-out - too many to name but you know who you are.....

...and of course to our participants, without which there would not be a show at all!
