i'm new to bettas.

what is it about aged water? store them for how long do we consider them aged?

will be be okie to use water directly from tap?

hi...the best is store more than 2 days...tat would be the best...usually i store for at least for days...

depending on the individual fish. Some owner like to add salt in varied amount. Basically bettas are fresh water fish, which dun require salt. Salts are added to reduce chances of fresh water protozoan parasites. As a rule, fresh water parasites can't survive in salt water. Likewise salt water parasites can't survive in fresh water.

for me...if i change the fish water...i used aged water...add salt...half of cap of water conditionear...and a piece of ketapang leave....=)

yeah, ketapang leaves are great but they give your water a brown tinge if you don't mind that. a few drops of anti-chlorine (depending on water volume) and aquarium salt are a must. aging the water for at least 8-10 hours should be good enough, but the longer the better.
