(ii) Non straight caudal fin rays
(iii Outermost caudal fins rays not at or near edge of caudal

I just hate those ray extensions. I believe many on the market have been bred to CTs before abt 3 generations ago. The HM club accepts a slight degree of these, penalises heavily for excessiveness.....rightly so.

Another thing to avoid: semi-runts / runts. These tend to have excellent finnage but paler bodies. For a full discussion on runts, please check out this thread: http://www.bettaclub.org.sg/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=454

Correction Myron, Fringes doesn't make a HM betta a half sun. A half sun have to have rays without rays it will be a pitted moon.
