Hi BCS members here,

Thought I'll test the waters here before I contact
all our BCS members. As mentioned in some other
postings here....the club is thinking of organizing
a 3D/2N or 4D/3N tour to Bangkok in June to coincide
with Bangkok's betta competition.

The club will not be able to subsidize the tour...but
the club could make all the bookings (hotel/tickets)
and arrange for activities (day time only) to view the
competition, visit local farms, fish market..etc.

Nights will be free and easy for you to do other wild betta
hunting, or we could organize group dinners, shopping for
fish & tanks...etc.

I think it will only be about $400-$500...
I would like to know how many here would really be
interested if we were to organize it.

Hi Roy, good of you to start the survey.
To make it more affordable, is it possible to start from the basis of (& using) the tour packages rather than book tickets/hotels directly - probably cost around $350 to $400 for a 4D3N (unless I'm outdated on the prices) and then add those extras to bring us to the show & farms, raising the cost to $400/450. This way, those with families can consider bringing their families along, but pay the extras only for themselves. This way, we get to see our bettas, the wife/kids are happy, getting their holiday and save some cost. Kill 3 birds (or bettas) with one (air-)stone. Just my idea. cheers, sy

Hi Roy,

Hear about thi strip from Dr Hsu. Really hope that it can be realised and serves as a eye opener to the BCS members. To see the Thais way of betta breeding.

If I can spare the time from my job ... I will definitely join in the run. So tentatively ... count me in.

With Best Regards,
Samuel Phan
