Rules and Regulations will be as usual with the previous Bettabite HM comp and NBCs
1. $16 per person or per fish??

Pay on the day itself or do a bank transfer will be fine
3. if there's alot of entry to the pattern/aoc classes, then in the event of a class split, would the participants be notified to decide which class the fish should compete in or would the organisers decide?
Organisers will decide on the day of competition itself
One more thing, Bettabite will find Reputable Local Judges for this competition. Judge's decision is

Will need at least 6 fish per class to split them
No max number of fish per class for each participant
Bench in time from 11-2.30pm, judging will start after fishes are benched in
Bench out time Sunday 5pm
dun worry about fish getting sick...just let us know the number of plakat or crowntail that you wanted to send in,and we will class them for you on the bench in day...the color class is for your info only..that we might have or might not have the class...but its a plakat comp...so i dun think it will be hard for you to look for them...as for the Crown tail...please look for those that are good in CT...i'm sure i'm not one of them....need i tell you what to do when you found them....hehehehehe,,,,no need rite...anyway...i have a few phone call and look like it going to be a good and hot comp for us.....more update with keep you all posted...thanks everyone....

it will be a hot day at the farm...so dun dress up like going to a ball or what so ever.....dun say i never tell you....i see if i can get pple to sell drink there or not....i try lar..
once all them fish is been judge it will be known to all...that will come to about evening time....
the first day will only allow judges to view the fish...after that the place will be lock up and it will be open to all to view on sunday...
we want to make this comp as fair as we can....no coffee money....no kelong....and all we want is the Best Fish to win....
"which means there'll be no public viewing on saturday ? only on sunday ?"
yap....only for those that are taking part
"1) could you introduce the panel of judges?
2) what are the standards with which the PKs are judged? the selection and winning criteria? any weightage across different qualities?"
Judges will be made known only on that day. This is to prevent kelong incident (i also dunno whos the judge, only Dennis know)
hard to answer your second question. There are no fixed standards

The objective of a competition is to promote the betta hobby, enhance and share the knowledge of keeping, selecting, comparing, standards of bettas, Interaction for all betta hobbyist be it young or old, new or experience, commerical or personal. And most of all FUN!!!
Winning to me is secondary, if you win it is a bonus, if not, you know where your fish stands and know how to place yourself in the next round and this keep the hobby alive too. Nothing is impossible.
I get a legit reason to sneak out of the house too ; )
May the best fish wins!!! Performance and maintaining the tip top condition of your winning fish is also the key to winning

one more thing...as long as you're taking part in the comp...you won't walk home with nothing...that i can be sure of...you will see on that day....[ag]
