Just a tip from me for those who hasnt tried.

Normally, less than healthy or old males are poor at building a full bubble nest. Some even do not blow bubbles after placing in breeding tank or builds it at the wrong place.

Tip - transfer some bubbles from jarred males and place them at the desired spot, eg under styro cup. Most males will be stimulated to further build a bigger nest from the introduced bubbles.

Hi Foo Hong,

i've tried the recommended method for a few times but it does not seem to be working. tried using female to entice him as well as placing a male beside his jar. his container has money plant and i've also tried putting floating plants as well. none of the above methods worked. please advise me.

betta is in good condition. could it be due to the low temperature these days that have "turned him off"? but my other bettas are still blowing bubbles.

also, i've acquired his a younger sibling of his and both are giving me the same problems. could it be inherited?
