BCS Announcement: November Event - KL Trip to MBA Betta Competition(BCS Members Only)

Hi Guys,

Counting down to the December competition yet?

But with 2 more months to go ... are you already itching for some action?

BCS have it all planned for you ...

BCS have decided to plan for a trip down to KL to attend the annual MBA Betta Competition.

Country: Malaysia
Location: Petaling Jaya, KL
Event: MBA Betta Competition 2002
Date: 03 November 2002 (Sunday)
Daparture Time(From Singapore): 7am
Arrival Time(In KL): 12noon

Daparture Time(From KL): 8pm
Arrival Time(In Singapore): 12 mn

This will be a great opportunity for BCS members to interact with our fellow counterparts in MBA.

The competition will be a one-day event with the fish benching in the morning and following by judging and then open to public for viewing by 12 noon.

The high-light of the day will probably be the auction that normally follows the competitions with spectacular fishes put under the hammer at attractive prices.

Already hoping for the day to come soon???

Wait!!! For now ... we will need to gather the response on how many people are interested in joining us for the trip so that we can contact the necessary agencies to arrange for the transportaion.

Please send in your interest to myself: samuelphan@hotmail.com latest by 23 October.
Appreciate that all indication of interest are genuine.
Family members welcome too ...

More details like cost and iternary will be provided when the date is nearer ...

PS: The "Fish Farm Visit" originally scheduled for the month of November will be cancelled
due to the unavailability of some of the fish farm operators/owners.

With Best Regards,
Samuel Phan And Edwin Lim

There is some last minute cock-up :D

The best Royal male has some splitting in its tail. The bloody yellow male has a dented ventral which is growing crooked now [B)]

Since TKLee says size comes under form and is only 10% of overall score, I ll bring some smaller fishes to substitute the older ones.

I find their categorisation a bit confusing, and the HM category for irids seems to be more of a fin form category of teh IBC. Well anyway, go for it.

Maybe I Ll bring the following
3 x steel blue [ fully matured ]
2 x royal blue [ 1 big n 1 small... the small one may not reach gud size ]
2 x turquoise [ 2 small ones ... 1 may not reach gud size ]
2 x yellow [ medium size ]
1 x red DTM [ large ]
2 x black [ smallish ]
1 x opaque [ maybe only not sure ]
1 x AOC pastel [ bit small...pumping up ! ]

Since we quite a certain number , shall we inform MBC as matter of courtesy so they know the tanks required.
