Who else have this problem besides me?

Sometimes the hole gets bigger as the fish grows! errr. Hsu, think we forgot to post Fred Chua this question, how to treat it !

Not sure what caused it ... But I do believe that an incision properly made on the finnage to reach the hole will provide some chance during the eventual recovery to mend the hole.

From the dictionary ...

An incision is a cut, esp one made by a surgeon.

My betta had these pinholes problem too and I tried PP (2 drops diluted) for about 3-4 days. He is very active now and less holes.:D

Normal usagae of P.P. is to use concentrated PP solution to jus dip the fishes in and take out.

I diluted the PP with distilled water, fm there I dropped 2 drops of diluted PP into the sick betta container and the water still look clear not Pink. The PP is so diluted I don't think it will kill the betta, right? In fact, I did it last week only.

Eric, would u like to describe how u prepare the PP ?
wat is the concentration of PP described in the bottle( r u using the crystal form or liquid type ? brand ?) that u got and how much water did u mix to dilute it ? wat device did u use to prepare 2 drops and wat is the vol of water in your betta tank ?

2 drops can mean one hell of difference depending how its prepared. maybe you could elaborate on the dilution process.

I bought this small bottle of PP fm a Fish Farm in LCK, I don't know how concentrated in it. The bottle just stated PP in full and no other indications or instructions. The PP mixture I did it about a year ago before I joined the Betta Club, so I don't quite remember how many drop I put into the distilled water (1litres/for car's battery) and fm this bottle I squeeze 2 drops.
When my betta had these pinholes, I didn't know whether it was caused by bateria, parasite or others, so my reason of puting 2 drops of diluted PP is to get rid of all these creatures in the water not the fish. I used small Tua Huay container not tank fish treament. That why I said my 2 drops diluted PP still look clear not like Rebena water.

Thank Eric. Will work on your information. The PP u got is a small glass bottle, concentration unknown. But if these are for aquatic purpose, likely 5%-6%. Since u dilute a few drops to 1L again, probably 0.05% and further dilution to your fish container.

Will work on something. Great info Eric !
