Hi All,
For those who use different leaves for conditioning their water, which is better? Banana or Ketapang?
Cheers!

Besides being used to condition water, banana leaves can also be used to treat bettas with swollen eyes. However, they tend to make the water somewhat foul-smelling after a while.
So, I prefer to use ketapang leaves to condition the water.

In the following URL, Mr Precha Jintasaerewonge (a Thai breeder) claims that banana leaves can also be used to cure damaged/torn fins when combined with "half a pint of mud from a lake".

It seems that while banana leaves may not smell too good, they have many healing properties.
