hi pple,
had a situation here. not sure if similar things has been post but if do, please guide me to that thread.:)
my fella been staying close to the water surface lately and vertically facing the water surface. cos he is white, so i cant make out wat is wrong with him. cant see any fungus or white spot. he just stay at the same corner for the whole day, not flaring or doing any other thing. and he eats only one BW each time.
i have done the necessary things and changing the water everyday. but his condition nv improve or got worse. he is like jus hanging on to the last breath. so wat to do?

Use Ocean Free Herbal Series Anti Bacterial and Ocean Free Herbal Series Anti External Parasite (mix them)..It will work.

treating fish got no guarantee it would work cos every single fish may show same symptons even due to different reasons. this is especially so when such symptons occur indicating that the fish is suffering from internal problem. ext problem may also be possible wihch escapes the owner's eye. cheers

Hi Eve,
How are you?
Suggestion...hopefully this works
1. lower the water level slowly so that he does not have to stress himself to get to the surface to breath.
2. Leave him alone in a darker place as this seems to sooth the fish
3. put a little methylene blue as an antiseptic and a very little salt.
4. Perhaps dont change water everyday...it will stess him out further. instead, put him in a larger tank and change water every 2 days...change only if necessary....disturb him as little as possible.
5. let him eat what he can...feed him
6. Does he flare at your female? I guess perhaps not......you can wrap the tank with newspapers so that he is not disturbed ....if you like leave only 1 side open...so you can observe from time to time..
7. on first day you change water try to go without the catappa leaves...just plain aged water with methylene blue and a little salt....put 1 small leave only on the second day....the change may help perk the guy up a little
Had a fish in Nov03 that was something like that....good news is he's alive and going to be bred soon :)
All the best.....
and take care.
