They come ziplock packs (if you've seen Straits' lobster roe packs they're the same).

It's easy to break off flat pieces to thaw out and feed to the fish. The percentage of water per unit volume of the frozen mossies is a lot lower than that for frozen bloodworms...so even though the pack looks much smaller than the hikari bloodworms pack, theres a fair bit of mossies in there.

The fish seem to like the stuff, but since the larvae are quite small and flaky compared to frozen bloodworms u got to be careful when feeding otherwise the ones missed by the fish disperse all over the bottom and will contaminate the water if left there (I guess good for month old fries if you don't have tubifex).

Still too soon to tell whether in the long run its better than bloodworms.
