Hello Seb & Myron & my "Nephew Alex"
Thanks Myron for your reply, and Seb for going in to great detail on suggestion and ideas in his reply to my post on how to keep the water warm for the eggs.
Sorry guy for some reason i clicked to leave the site for a minute to go to my fish room, and when one comes back you get the no new messages sign in the box, shearch and search , and couldn't find my way back.I tried to use the search box intered last two days, with no luck so that is why iam here didin't want to sart a new post yet. Also i have read two sheets of treads, and number 3 to go and can't get back. The reason iam aware of it is my innexperace with a computer Ihave only had one for a littl over a year. And iam a i finger slide typer.[Smile]
Now to a more interesting coversation. I love to design and build things. Now when i read a old post that Chris posted on makeing a small filter, couldn't hardly stop laughing he had these 3 faces chewing down theses 3 poles, and i new what he meant, i have been there with some of my ideas, and things i have tried to make.
Now i had the idea for a very small air foam filter 9 months ago,and made a proto type. It comes 4 & 6" in lenth and it is 1-1/4" in diamater.[ Srry Guys for the measuremet of inches but i never had to lear MM as a measurement, had no need for it in my construction work. The draw back is this foam tube has a thin plastic tube insert glued in side it.Now for my proto type i removed the foam tube cover, and replaced it with another tube that i drilled holes in and inserted the new tube back inside the foam tube, with a air inlet plastic tube near the bottom, for ataching a air hose line..
The principal of this is nothing new, just a different way.
There is no way to use it with the light coating of glue at this time inside the foam tube.
I have just sent another email off trying to buy these tubes before they are glued.Iam trying to get a supplier of the foam material,to sell me some. but i beleve they are made in Italy or another country and shiped here for resale.
Nown "Seb" you suggested to me to give a comment maybe on what i find interesting amd so on .I will do this in greater detail, after i finish reading and mabe, going over some of them again.
And what i have read so far is very nowlegeable.
Seb the first thing comes to my mind at this time,Was on how she handled her water by Victora, And as i was reading it, and the way she decribed useing a net with floss and carbon or charcoal , it skip my mine which. But any way she let her water run through it 3 times. And while reading it i could visualize her doing so.Then a thought past through my head [Smile] And off to the pluming supply house i went to day, and bought all the material i will need to make a extra big filter that would take a garden hose on each end. Now i have a inline filter now that i have atached to a bareel and a automactic comode shut off inside the barrel. Idesigned it and it works great but filters cost a lot.And after Victoria said she used floss and carbon, It came to me all i needed was a houseing for the material. So iam going to use a 5" dia, PVC pipe cut to lenth. To hold the material.
Sorry guys this littl one finger it gets started it hard to stop it.[Smile]
